Catherine (Kate) Pearce – Founder
Kate is a unique, consumer focused leader, schooled in engineering, classically trained in CPG brand management, and with over fifteen years’ experience in scaling rapid growth tech based start-ups.
After a progressive foundation at Procter & Gamble in operations and brand management, Kate joined the technology sector to work with entrepreneurs, translating vision into clear strategies and practical operating plans. She was instrumental in scaling AOL in Canada and then added the U.S. market, scaling America Online’s consumer mobile and Latino businesses. Since returning to Canada she has lent her unique operations and marketing expertise to growing tech companies including STI Technologies (health tech), Wattpad (media and entertainment), and Viva Naturals (ecommerce). Kate works with founders, executives, boards, and investors. She is known for her unflappable good humour, while providing the leadership, insight, and technical understanding required to scale successfully.
Kate’s involvement in her community includes the Marketing Advisory Board for the Canadian Red Cross and the Board of Directors for the University of Toronto Press. She has been a long standing volunteer at Sick Kids and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospitals, and for Camp 1, an organization supporting graduating engineers transition to their careers.
